Biography

Ken Sosavoeun is the Deputy Director General of National Center for Peace Keeping forces, mine and ERW Clearance, Ministry of National Defense. He has held the above position since February 2016

Before assuming the current position, Lieutenant General Ken Sosavoeun was assigned to be United Nations Military Observer in Sudan. His duty in this position included serving as Team site leader of sector II, WAU Team site from 18 July 2007 to 19 July 2009 and the same year, he was sent to train to be Senior Mission Leader in Japan. In 2010, he was also sent to train in United States to be UN Senior Leader.

From 2005- 2006, he was assistant to cabinet of deputy prime minister, minister of national defense. In 2004, he was trained on Counter terrorism in Hawaii, United States of America. He held BA of Teacher Pedagogy. 1992 to 2004, He was training chief of Intelligence Department. 1989 to 1991, He had been deployed at Thai-Cambodia border in charge of Intelligence officer. He joined army in 1979 as Junior Intelligence officer. He married with five children. And his permanent address: H. 19G, St.366, Chrang Chomres 1 Commune, Russey Keo District, and Phnom Penh.
