Speaker in Session 5. Lessons Learnt from the Integrated Approach to Victim Assistance
Ratana Chhim joins the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as Weapon Contamination and International Humanitarian Law Program Responsible since 2013. In her role, she takes responsibility to support the implementation and monitoring of ICRC Weapon Contamination activities. She contributes directly to ensuring staff safety and the continuation of critical operations, and supporting the National societies for capacity building on Mine Risk Education and Safer Behaviors. Besides, she also takes critical role for the promotion and implementation of International Humanitarian Law with stake holders. She also supports academic circle for teaching of IHL, develops and maintain a network of partners and contacts linked to legal questions. She holds Master degree in International Public Law and had professional trained on International Humanitarian Law at International Institute of Humanitarian Law in Sanremo, Italy.
